The 5th day of the 5th month is known as Boys' Day in Japan, a time when all arrangements are crafted exclusively with blue irises. These flowers symbolise the strength and upright nature of young men, while their long leaves represent swords. In this class, you will explore arrangements that emphasise height and structure, reflecting the proud and disciplined spirit of this tradition.
All day classes are £50. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
